Empowerment Tutoring Services, LLC is a service that started in the summer of 2008. As an undergraduate student at the University of New Orleans, I represented my fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., as a mentor and tutor to a young man that needed some assistance in 7th grade mathematics. As I began to see the change that was taking place, I knew that this was something that I had to continue doing. I have been tutoring for nearly 20. years. I have worked with K -12th grade and college students in Orleans, Jefferson, and St. John the Baptist Parish. I have also worked with adults in special projects or programs. My chosen focus area is mathematics but I’m willing to assist in other subject areas. I specialize in special education services for student's whose disability has an impact on accessing general education academic content. I am currently a leaderhip coach for special education leaders and teachers in the New Orleans District and surrounding area.
